Recently, the Education Department of Fujian Province announced the list of winners of the 2nd Fujian Teaching Innovation Contest for College Teachers. QNU won four second prizes, two third prizes and the Excellent Organization Award.

With the theme of promoting teaching innovation and cultivating first-class talents, this competition focuses on the “student-development-centered” concept, guides college teachers to devote themselves to education, creates a weathervane for college teaching reform, and fully promotes the reform of higher education quality. The contest includes three parts: classroom teaching video, teaching innovation achievement report, and teaching design innovation report. A total of 858 teachers from 39 undergraduate colleges and universities in the province signed up for the competition, and the courses covered 12 undergraduate professional categories.

The event, as an important measure to thoroughly implement the spirit of the National Education Conference, helps QNU to steadily move forward with its double first-class construction and development. It has played a positive role in improving teachers' teaching ability and promoting the reform and innovation of classroom teaching. In the future, QNU will improve education through competition, further encourage and guide teachers to innovate educational ideas, contents, methods and means, actively carry out classroom teaching reform and innovation, and ensure the continuous improvement of teachers' education and talent training.
