QNU Students Winning Bronze Medal in ICPC Asia

The 46th ICPC Asia was held online in Kunming on April 17th, with more than 800 teams from 317 universities including Tsinghua University, Peking University, Beihang University, Zhejiang University, etc.Under the guidance of Prof. Gao Dali and Prof. Zeng Taisheng, our team comprising Chen Jiale, Shi Weikang and Zhang Zili from the School of Maths and Computer Science ranked the 156th and won a bronze medal, achieving a breakthrough in QNU’s history.

ACM/ICPC is an annual algorithmic programming contest for college students, aiming at demonstrating students' innovation, team spirit, and abilities to program, analyze and solve problems under pressure. Over the past 40 years, ICPC has become the world's most influential programming competition for college students. During the competition, each team was provided one computer to solve 7 to 13 problems in 5 hours by programming in one of the languages such as C/C++, Java and Python. In the season of 2021-2022, ACM-ICPC has six regionals in East Asia, which are held in Jinan, Shenyang, Shanghai, Nanjing, Macau, and Kunming, respectively.
