On the afternoon of Oct. 7, the signing and opening ceremony of building joint laboratories of advanced functional fabrics between QNU and Peak (China) Co., Ltd. were held and the signing ceremony of Global Advanced Functional Fabric Innovation Consortium also took place in the school.
Global Advanced Functional Fabric Innovation Consortium was initiated by Quanzhou Normal University, Donghua University, Peak (China) Co., Ltd., Quanzhou Haitian Material Technology Co., Ltd., Fujian Billion Polyester Technology Industrial Co., Ltd., Qingyuan Innovation Laboratory, Fujian Provincial Key Laboratory of Textile Testing Technology and so on. It will be the first-ever innovation consortium organized by private enterprises, universities and scientific research institutes.
Prof. Qiu Yiping, Dean, College of Textiles and Apparel，and Mr. Dai Jianhui, Director of Quality Management Center of Peak (China) Co., Ltd. signed on the Agreement of Building Joint Laboratories of Advanced Functional Fabrics. Witnesses included Zhu Shize, Xu Zhihua, Xia-hou Jianbing and Lin Bilian.
Later, Zhu Shize and Xu Zhihua unveiled the plaque of joint laboratories of advanced functional fabrics. After the signing and opening ceremony, representatives visited laboratories of advanced functional fabrics and laboratories at the School of Textiles and Apparel.
