QNU organized Online Training Courses for Indonesian Chinese Language Teachers in Quanzhou, connecting Chinese Language teachers at home and abroad and building the same dream in Cloud classrooms.
On Dec. 16, 2022, the opening ceremony of Online Training Class was held simultaneously online by QNU and Indonesian Chinese Education Association. The training was sponsored by Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Fujian Province and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Quanzhou Municipal People’s Government, organized by Quanzhou Normal University and Quanzhou Overseas Chinese Education Center, and co-organized by Indonesian Chinese Education Association, East Java Chinese Education Coordination Organization, East Java Chinese Education Coordination Organization Teachers’ Mutual Aid Association, and Quanzhou Municipal Education Bureau. 115 Indonesian Chinese language teachers, teachers and students at our school attended the opening ceremony.
It was the first time that our school organized and conducted online training for Indonesian Chinese Language teachers. The 8-day training was tailored to provide participants with rich and practical courses concerning Subjects, Cultures and Life Skills in which elements of Minnan culture have been fitted. At the same time, the training adopted a live broadcast + recorded broadcast mode and a little teacher assistance + group discussion mode to ensure learning effectiveness. Since the outbreak of Covid-19, the school has held 8 periods of online workshops and special camps for more than 400 Chinese language schools in the Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia, training nearly 1,500 overseas teachers and students. The training has been highly praised by overseas Chinese communities and Chinese language schools.
