On Apr. 7, the signing ceremony of a donation agreement between Hong Kong Renshan Fortune Charity Association and QNU was held. Li Hexie, the Secretary General of the Tan SiuLin Foundation and Executive Vice President of the HongKong Renshan Fortune Charity Association, as well as President Qu Guangqing, Vice President Huang Jiangkun, Vice President Xiahou Jianbing, and relevant department heads of QNU attended the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Huang Jiangkun.
At the ceremony, Qu Guangqing and Li Hexie jointly signed a donation agreement on behalf of both parties. After the ceremony, Xiahou Jianbing presided over a symposium on the education work of TSL Business School, discussing the development plan of the school .
Dr. Tan Siu Lin and Renshan Fortune Charity Association donated RMB 1 million and HKD 2 million to QNU and the Hong Kong University of Education respectively, to support cooperation between the two universities mainly for scholar visits, student exchanges, faculty advance study and research team building. Dr. Tan Siu Lin and his family are enthusiastic about charity and the education in their hometown. Over the years, they have made donations to many building projects of QNU, including Sun Yatsen Memorial Hall, Sun Yatsen Cultural Square, teaching buildings, gymnasium and etc.. They have also co-founded TSL Business School and established Tan SiuLin International Exchange Endowment, supporting Micronesian and QNU students to study abroad.
