On November 20, the 10th Fujian Provincial Hundred-Flowers Art and Literature Award ceremony was held in Fuzhou. The dance work Finger Language of Marionette produced by Associate Professor Ye Xiaoli from the School of Music and Dance of QNU won the third prize at the 10th Fujian Provincial Hundred Flowers Literature and Art Award.
The dance of Finger Language of Marionette is based on the Quanzhou string puppet show (formerly known as marionette ), which has a history of more than one thousand years and has been included in the UNESCO World Intangible Cultural Heritage Practice List. This work won the first prize and Excellent Creation Award in the Performance Dance (Professional Group) category at the 6th National College Student Art Exhibition. It was the only professional group dance work from Fujian Province that was nominated for on-site performance at the event.
